‚p@What kind of rooms do you have?

We have dormitory rooms, twin rooms and Japanese style rooms.
Dormitory rooms (sharing rooms) are gender segregated rooms with 3 bunk beds, for 6 people.

A twin room provides two beds, a TV and a bathroom.

A Japanese room provides a TV and a washstand.


Dormitory Room: 29 rooms, max. 174 beds
Twin Room: 4 rooms, max. 8 people
Japanese Room: 6 rooms, max. 24 people and 1 room, max. 8 people


‚p@What can I find inside the rooms?
.In every room, there are cloth-hangers and slippers. The details of the amenities are as follows.
Twin Room: towels (small and big sizes), shampoo, rinse, body soap, tooth brush, hair dryer

Air conditoning is provided in all rooms.

‚p@I'm worried about my belongings, if I stay in a dormitory room. How should I take care of my belongings?

You can keep them in the lockers (free) on the 1st floor or at the reception.


‚p@What should I bring, when I stay at your Youth Hostel?
Please bring your own towel, toothbrush, pajamas, etc. You can buy these items at the reception, in case you have forgotten them.
Toothbrush 80yen, small towel 250yen, big bath towel 300yen
Yukata (Japanese style pajama) 300yen for rental

‚p@Is it possible to stay alone?

Yes, itfs possible. Every room can be used by one person.


‚p@Is it possible for a family to stay in one room?

Yes, itfs possible.
Dormitory rooms can be used up to 6 people.
Twin rooms can be used up to 2 people.
Japanese rooms for 4 people can be used up to 4 people.
Japanese rooms for 8 people can be used up to 8 people.


‚p@Is there a bathroom in each room?

Only twin rooms provide bathrooms. For our guests who stay in dormitory rooms or Japanese rooms, we provide common bathrooms on each floor and common baths on the 1st floor.


‚p@What can I find in the common baths?

In the common baths, we provide shampoos, rinse, body soap, and hair dryers. In each common baths, there is a shower room.


‚p@Please tell me the bath time of the common baths.

Bath time is from 16:00 ` 24:00 and 6:00 ` 8:00 in the next morning.


‚p@How can I make a reservation?

You can make a reservation by telephone, by FAX, by email, by post, from this home page, or on the website, gHihostel.comh.
For individual guests, it is possible to make a reservation from 90 days before. Groups over 10 people can make a reservation one year before.


‚p@How can I cancel my reservation?

If you want to cancel your reservation, please tell us as soon as possible by telephone, by FAX, by email, or by post.

‚p@Is it possible to stay without reservation?

If there are still vacancies in the rooms, it is possible. But our youth hostel tends to be busy on weekends and especially during the Japanese holidays. We recommend you to book your room as soon as possible.


‚p@What time is the check-in time?

The check-in time is from 15:00 to 23:00. Guests who arrive before 15:00 can stay at the lobby.


‚p@Is it possible to store my luggage before check-in?

Yes, itfs possible. Guests can use lockers (free) or store your belongings at the reception before your check-in.


‚p@Is there a curfew?

Yes. We close all doors at 23:00 and our guests canft go out after 23:00. If you go out, please come back until 23:00.


‚p@What time does the reception open and close?

The reception opens from 6:00 to 24:00.


‚p@What time is the check-out time?

Check-out time is 10:00. Guests, who will stay over two nights and stay in a dormitory room, please go out from your room, because we need to clean the room.


‚p@May I store my luggage after the check-out?

Yes, you can store your luggage at the reception.


‚p@I reserved only one night. Is it possible to stay one more night?

If we have still vacancies in the rooms, of course itfs possible! Please inform the staff at the reception until 10:00 in the morning.


‚p@I'm not a Youth Hostel member. Is it possible to stay at your Youth Hostel? If it's possible, is there any difference between member and non-member in price?

It is possible to stay at our Youth Hostel, even though you are not a Youth Hostel member, but if you are a non member, you need to pay 600 yen extra.


‚p@How much does it cost for children?

From nought to 3 years, it costs 300 yen per person.
From 4 to junior high school students, there will be 525 yen discount from the adultfs price.


‚p@Is internet available?

Yes, itfs available. There are two internet machines (100 yen for 15 min.). If you have your own computer with a wireless LAN card, you can use it in the lobby. In your room, it is not possible to use internet, even though you have your own computer.


‚p@May I have meals at your Youth Hostel?

We provide our guests breakfast and supper. Breakfast costs 630 yen and supper costs 1050 yen. In some case, meals can not be provided due to certain conditions, so if you want to have meals at our Youth Hostel, please ask us in advance.


‚p@Should I make a reservation in advance, if I want to have meals at your Youth Hostel?

You should not make a reservation. You can order meals at the check-in, but if you want to have supper, please let us know until 15:00 and come to our Youth Hostel until 18:00.


‚p@Is there a self kitchen at your Youth Hostel?

Yes! In the dining room, there is a kitchen for individual guests and a microwave, refrigerator, water boiler, and kitchen materials such as knives, cutting board, cups, and dishes are available.


‚p@Is there something to drink or to eat?

Yes, there are some vending-machines and you can buy drinks and snacks. Some cup noodles are on sale at the reception.


‚p@Can I eat foods and drink juices in my room?

We are very sorry, but itfs not allowed to eat foods in the rooms. If you want to eat something, please use the dining room. It is open until 24:00.
Drinking water is possible in the room, but drinking juices and alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Please use the dining room.


‚p@Is it possible to smoke in the room?

Smoking in the room is prohibited. There are some smoking spaces outside and inside the building for smokers.


‚p@Is there a parking space for bicycles or motorcycle?

Yes, there is a free parking space for bicycles and motorcycles.


‚p@Is there a parking space for cars?

Our Youth Hostel doesnft have its own parking space. Please park in the 3rd parking space of HAMADERA Park. From there it takes about 20 min. on foot. We recommend you to come to our Youth Hostel by public transportations.


‚p@Are there some stores where I can buy foods etc..?

Yes, there are a supermarket and some convenience stores (24 hour open) around our Youth Hostel. It takes about 7 min. on foot. You can find them, when you walk from the station.


‚p@Are there places to eat around the hostel?

Yes, there are some restaurants around our Youth Hostel. Please ask at the reception. You can find some restaurants, when you walk from the station.


‚p@Is it possible to send my luggage to the hostel prior to my check-in?

Yes, it is possible.  Please make sure to have the correct mailing address and notify us by phone or email before sending the luggage.

‚p@Can I buy some souvenirs at your Youth Hostel?

Yes, you can buy some postcards, and some small Japanese souvenirs at the reception.


‚p@Is it possible to stay at your Youth Hostel with over 10 people?
